As with all insurance policies, conditions and exclusions will apply.

We can introduce you to both local and national conveyancers, included those with specialist knowledge. Conveyancing is the legal process that transfers home ownership from the seller to the buyer, starting with the acceptance of your offer and finishing with the collection of the keys to your new home. Working with trusted solicitors or conveyancers is the best way to understand what the process involves and to minimise the chances of a surprise along the way.

House surveys detail the condition of the property and highlight any potential or existing problems, giving you all the information that you need to negotiate the price accordingly – or request that the seller addresses the issues. Stead Mortgages has teamed up with a national survey company that provides Home Buyer’s Reports, Building Surveys, Condition Reports and Full Structural Reports – they can confirm the survey costs, talk you through the differences between the reports, and advise on the one you need for the property you’re thinking of buying.

It’s always wise to consider including your property in a legal will. If you wish to leave your property and estate to your family, a will ensures that your property is passed on to the individual(s) of your choosing. We work with a handful of professionals who can write a will for you, please let us know if you are interested in this service and we will ask them to get in contact with you.
